These Terms of Service govern your use of Budget with Mee ("the Service"), accessible at budgetwithmee.com.

2. The service

Budget with Mee provides personal financial planning tools including envelope budgeting, financial forecasting, and scenario modelling. The Service is intended for personal use only and does not constitute financial advice.

We do not guarantee the accuracy of any financial projections or forecasts generated by the Service. You are solely responsible for any financial decisions you make.

3. Account registration

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or are used in violation of these terms.

4. Subscription and billing

The Service is available on a free plan with limited features, and a paid Household plan with full access. Current pricing is displayed at budgetwithmee.com/subscribe.

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your profile page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email before any price changes take effect.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
• Transmit any malicious code or interfere with the Service's operation
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written consent
• Share your account credentials with others (except household members via the invite feature)

6. Your data

You retain ownership of all financial data you enter into the Service. We do not sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details of how we handle your data.

You may export or delete your data at any time. If you close your account, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Budget with Mee shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Budget with Mee and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written consent.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
