Is there really a free plan?
Yes — the free plan is genuinely free, forever. No trial period, no credit card required. You get envelope budgeting, transaction logging, and a 3-month forecast.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data is kept safe. You will move to the free plan features but nothing is deleted. You can re-subscribe any time and pick up exactly where you left off.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Yes — you can switch at any time from your profile page via the billing portal. If you switch to annual mid-cycle, we will prorate the difference.
Is my financial data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use row-level security on our database so your household data is completely isolated from other users. We never sell your data.
Does it connect to my bank?
Not currently — mee uses manual entry, which keeps it simple and works for any UK bank. Open Banking integration is on our roadmap.
What does household sharing mean?
On the Household plan you can invite up to 4 additional people to your household. Everyone sees the same budget, forecast, and transactions in real time.
Is mee built for UK users?
Yes — mee is built specifically for UK households. Amounts are in pounds, the forecast accounts for UK pay frequencies (monthly, weekly, 4-weekly), and the debt tracker is designed around UK lending products.
